Showcase Awards Programme 2010
We have an exciting Awards Programme at Showcase 2010 designed to encourage exhibitors to bring more new products to the show , to reward best business practice in exporting, to recognise excellence within the Creative Island area and to honour the highest standards of craftsmanship.
The four awards are:
- Showcase New Product Award 2010
- Crafts Council of Ireland Creative Island Award (open to Creative Island exhibitors only)
- Crafts Council of Ireland Craftsmanship Award (open to CCOI members only)
- Showcase Exporter of the Year Award
Showcase New Product Awards 2010
All exhibitors have the opportunity to nominate up to three new and innovative products under any of the following four categories:
- Craft & Gift
- Fashion, Knitwear and Accessories
- Tabletop & Interiors
- Jewellery
There is an overall New Product Award winner, four categories winners and up to eight highly commended entries.
Buyers have a keen interest in this well established award which provides a benchmark for innovation at the Show and exhibitors are strongly encouraged to participate.

The Crafts Council of Ireland’s Creative Island Award
All exhibitors in the Crafts Council of Ireland’s Creative Island area are automatically entered into this award. The award will be adjudicated based on a combination of information already provided for the selection process and the quality standards demonstrated at the show . There will be one overall winner and two highly commended entries. No further application material is required.
Crafts Council of Ireland Craftsmanship Award
This award promotes the ‘cutting edge’ of creative development in the crafts. Work being assessed is not simply evaluated for its own individual worth or competence, but is judged against the highest standard available. It is open to all exhibitors who are members of the Crafts Council of Ireland. Showcase Exporter of the Year Award
This inaugural award is designed to give recognition to Irish exporting companies which provide a top class service to their overseas customers. Registered buyers at Showcase will be asked to nominate and then assess one Irish company of their choice against criteria that are most important to them as retailers. Exhibitors interested in this award should encourage buyers who are attending the show to submit a nomination. Buyers who submit a nomination will be entered into a FREE DRAW for a two-night stay in a Bewley’s Hotel of their choice in Dublin. Click HERE for more details.

Exhibitors Meeting 2010
