Eilish is from Dublin but left many years ago and is now living in Wexford and loves the country life. She lives in a cottage just minutes from the seashore. Eilish worked at landscaping and is a qualified Healing Garden Designer and also qualified as a Colour Healer. Using her gift as an artist she beautifully blends her passions together. Her surroundings inspire her greatly and her love for animals and nature shine through her work. The way she uses colour is unique to her. She has a definite style that is all her own. Eilish is an artist who knows what sells.
Her fine art prints depict cute little colourful fishing trawlers in calm harbours to trawlers out on raging seas with waves crashing on the shore. lighthouses in storms to rolling hills and dreamy country cottages. She never forgets to include her beloved border collie Larry into some of her work. Eilish says, "He was so full of life when he was alive and full of fun and joy. Sometimes when I think that I am finished a painting, I find my brush dipping into the black paint and before I know it, there he is running along the beach or in the garden of a country cottage" and people love him.
Eilish's work has been described as colourful, magical and mystical.
Her Gallery is in Kilmore Quay and is open for the summer months. Directly outside her door is the beautiful harbour with yachts and fishing trawlers. No wonder where she gets her inspiration from. The village is full of tourists from all over the world and her customers go away delighted to have a print of her work. She also sells them in some garden centres, gift shops and galleries. Her work is instantly recognisable. She paints most days so her collection just keeps growing and growing. "I have to paint, I need to paint like I need air. I would be happy to live in a cave and just paint everyday" she laughs. "I am an artist and maybe not a great business woman but I do manage to stay top of things somehow.
