Ellie Dunne is a student of Fine Art at TUDublin.
Primarily an abstract painter, Ellie has had two solo shows and two of her pieces are held in the Irish State Collection.
Ellie Dunne Art & Homeware extends her practice away from the canvas, with her work translated into limited-edition wool blankets in native Irish wool. Working with traditional Irish mills, Ellie's core collection includes the Merrion Blanket, commissioned by the Merrion Hotel to celebrate its 25th anniversary, and the 40SHADES™ of Green blanket, made in collaboration with the Galway Wool Co-op using yarn from the fleece of pedigree animals, woven by Molloy & Sons in Ardara, Co. Donegal.
Each sustainable, heirloom piece turns a painting into a woven fragment of her studio work.
Ellie describes them as 'paintings in wool'.
Ellie has Down Syndrome.
