Gráinne Kenny is a Textile Designer from Gorey, Co. Wexford. She is inspired by the ever changing colours and textures of shorelines to sunsets along the south east coastline and the Wild Atlantic Way. Gráinne designs and creates mixed media textile art inspired by her love of the sea. She uses a combination of natural and sustainable fibres and fabrics from wool, spun silk and bamboo amongst other materials to create colourful and tactile pieces for the Interior and giftware market.
All of her work is hand done  and the pieces are original works of textile art. Gráinne has developed her own unique style by working with her materials , her work is not felted with needles or wet felted, She likes to describe them as textile paintings. Her work comes in various frame sizes from miniature pieces to large textile seascapes. She also makes table and floor lamps. She is launching a new collection of work at Showcase 2026. Established in 2012, Gráinne has been working successfully since and is making a return to Showcase having previously exhibited from 2017-2020 in the enterprise area.. Her work has appeared in various press articles over the years and she is a member of Design Ireland and Made Local.
