Tide and Bloom: A Collection of Irish Botanical Textiles
Nicola’s Tide and Bloom collection features 100% Irish linen homeware, printed and finished in Ireland using her own botanical designs. Inspired by native wildflowers, seaweed, and foliage, each piece reflects a quiet connection to the Irish landscape. The collection includes napkins, table runners, and cushions—versatile, enduring pieces for those who value authenticity, sustainability, and poetic design.
Nicola’s creative process begins outdoors, where she collects natural elements from Ireland’s rugged shores, quiet meadows and woodlands. These are brought back to her studio at the Gardener’s Cottage at Ardgillan Castle, where she works with fine white air-drying clay to capture their delicate forms. The resulting botanical reliefs are contemplative studies of nature’s quiet intricacies—each one a tactile expression of place and rhythm.
From these original clayworks, Nicola also produces a small selection of fine art prints on cotton rag paper, preserving the subtle textures and organic beauty of the originals. These prints will be available at Showcase, offering a refined way to bring the outside in. Her original ceramic artworks are not available for wholesale.
