Showcase Spotlight: Lisa McCormack, Capulet & Montague

Tell us about your business and products.
Capulet & Montague is my signature jewellery brand, known for innovative, vibrant and unmistakably distinctive design that I set up in 2011 so I am ,this year, celebrating 15 years in business and very proud of that . As a multi-award-winning designer, my work sits at the forefront of contemporary Irish jewellery design. Each piece I create is conceived as wearable art - designed to transform everyday outfits into subtle expressions of individuality. Whether a piece speaks to rebellion, power or play, it ultimately becomes what the wearer wants it to be. My work appeals to both women and men who are drawn to a distinctive balance of boldness and purity. Over the years, my designs have been featured in magazines and editorial shoots, and I’ve collaborated with haute couture designers on runways in Ireland and at London Fashion Week alongside leading Irish designers.

Where do you get your inspiration?
I draw inspiration from many places - from industrial design to flora and fauna, colour, art and personal memories. My work often explores contrast and balance, combining contemporary forms with storytelling and emotional connection.

What are your brand values?
My brand values are innovation, individuality, craftsmanship, ethical practice and sustainability. I’m committed to pushing creative boundaries while producing work responsibly and with integrity.

What do you like most about what you do?
After 15 years in business, what I love most is my return customers. I cherish that ongoing relationship and shared excitement - seeing them get just as excited as I do about each new collection is incredibly rewarding.

Is this your first time exhibiting at Showcase Ireland?
Yes, this will be my first time exhibiting at Showcase Ireland, and I’m super excited to be part of it.
Where are your products currently stocked?
My work is stocked in independent boutiques, design-led shops (some for over 15 years) and museums, including the National Gallery of Ireland, where I recently designed special collections for two exhibitions. The collection at the Gallery Shop is inspired by Evie Hone’s Sunday Morning (1948), featured in Mainie Jellett and Evie Hone: The Art of Friendship. Art has always been central to my design process, and this collection creates a dialogue between fine art and fashion, with each piece intended as wearable art that evokes emotion -power, confidence or playfulness. I have also created a Cubist-inspired collection to complement the gallery’s current display of Picasso’s works.

Is sustainability an important aspect of your business?
Yes, sustainability is central to everything I do. I use recycled and salvaged acrylic wherever possible, including dead stock materials that are given a second life through design. I work closely with local Dublin-based suppliers to reduce transport emissions and support the local economy. All additional materials are ethically sourced, and every order is packaged using recycled materials, ensuring sustainability is considered at every stage of the process.

What’s new for Showcase 2026?
For Showcase 2026, I’ll be presenting my new Fleur collection alongside other collections and best sellers. Spring/ Summer is bursting with colour -an ode to Henri Matisse’s joyful forms and the nostalgia of my Irish childhood summers. Inspired by the return of house martins, wild flowers and the vivid hues of glucose barley sweets, the collection features fluid, expressive shapes and a palette of sugary yellows, vibrant pinks and sea-glass blues. It’s art you can wear - a story of memory, nature, and colour in motion.
