Source the perfect jewellery for your customers
If the international fashion runways are an indicator of jewellery trends, then it’s safe to say that classic silver and gold jewellery isn’t going anywhere for 2023.
Pieces inspired by nature including modern interpretations of pearls, sea, floral and leaf motifs have been trending for several seasons now, while the current trend for layering and stacking of everything from rings to bangles to chains, gives your customers even more opportunities to discover what Irish jewellery brands have to offer.
Colour continues to abound, prompting a joyous adoption of colourful stones, beads, perspex and lucite for day as well as night.
Here are some independent Irish brands we think your customers will love.
Miriam Wade

Based in Westmeath in the Irish midlands, Miriam Wade produces two jewellery brands. The first is her brand for women - Miriam Wade. This second, a men’s range designed in partnership with her husband Ben Millett, entitled Millettwade.
The most popular collection of the Miriam Wade brand is the designer’s ‘Le Chéile’ collection. Based on the Irish word for 'together' each piece is interlinking - representing the unbreakable bond between two people.
For Showcase 2023, Wade will launch a new collection called 'Lios'. 'Lios' is the Irish word for ‘fairy fort’ or ‘ringfort’ - Bronze Age circular fortified settlements commonly sighted across the midlands of Ireland. An aerial view of these ringforts has inspired the circular shapes in this new collection.
Wade’s collection for men, Millettwade, is a delightful one with affordable brass lapel pins featuring designs such as a plane, a compass, a musical note and a rugby ball imprinted in the metal. This range also includes tin pins, discreet bottle openers and money clips.

Yvonne Bolger

Yvonne Bolger describes her journey to becoming a jewellery designer as a ‘long and winding road’ having worked first as a lawyer and then as a fulltime mother. Going on to study silversmithing, she immediately found her groove and she now designs and handcrafts her jewellery in her studio in Co. Laois.
Frequently inspired by nature, the designs that Bolger will bring to Showcase 2023 include her 'Cherry Tree Leaf’, ‘Shell Seeker’ and ‘Girl with a Pearl’ designs incorporating sterling silver and cultured freshwater pearls.
Other popular styles in the Yvonne Bolger range include the ‘Love Bite’ apple pendant and the ‘Bluebell Bliss’ pendant, while feathers and leaves frequently make an appearance too in this competitively priced collection.
