Louise is a batik artist based in Swallow Studios in County Monaghan a little bit off the beaten track but surrounded by the beautifully rugged landscape filled with lush boglands and drumlins this is where Louise likes to call home.With a range of hand painted silk scarves, wall hangings and handmade cards from limited edition prints. Her unique and striking use of colour and the ability to bring a modern flair to ancient Celtic inspirations makes her work stand out.Each scarf is hand painted in colour hues that explode with vibrant flashes and subtle washes twisting and swirling around the spiral designs that move throughout the scarf in a dream like fashion.I like to think that I have one perfect scarf to suit everyone.I have always been interested in Celtic myths and legends and love to bring the stories and designs to life in my own colourful way.
