Stories by Ola

Hall: DCCI Area Stand: C54
My work is shaped by the Irish coastline — the colours, the textures, the quiet, tidal rhythm that somehow settles into the clay. Ceramics began as a hobby years ago, and somewhere along the way, it became the thing that finally made sense. Now I create from my small Kitchen Studio at Ardgillan Castle in North Co. Dublin, hand-building and slipcasting pieces that feel calm, tactile and intentionally imperfect.

The past two years have brought some really special moments:
Winner of the Irish Made Awards 2025 (Home category)
Shortlisted for Showcase Ireland 2025 (Home category)
Overall LEO Winner at Showcase Ireland 2024

Stories by Ola have always been about everyday rituals - the mug you reach for without thinking, the bowl that just feels right in your hands, the pieces that bring a small pause to a busy day. Everything I make is inspired by the sea, crafted slowly, and designed to be lived with.

If something I’ve made finds its way into someone else’s story, that’s the part that keeps me going.
